Shelter Reservations

To reserve one of our parks, call the Parks and Recreation office at 715-536-7313 to check available dates. Reservations must be made at the Parks and Recreation office, Smith Center, 1100 Marc Drive, Merrill, WI 54452, in person (no reservations over the phone, mail, or e-mail). Parks are reserved on a first come first serve basis at the begining of each New Year. 2018 Reservations will begin on Tuesday, January 2nd, at 7:30 a.m.

Park Reservation fees:

Ott's, Riverside, Normal Park and Stange's Park:

  • $50 Deposit (will be returned after reservation date if park is left in good condition).
  • $55 Reservation Fee for residents
  • $65 Reservation Fee for non-residents

Kitchenette Park:

  • $50 Deposit (will be returned after reservation date if park is left in good condition).
  • $65 Reservation fee for residents
  • $75 Reservation fee for non residents

Stange's Park:
This 11.6 acre park is located at 209 West Third Street, along the Prairie River. Stange's Park locatin is on the corner of Parkway Drive and Third Street. This park includes a basketball court, playground, picnic shelter, and walking bridges over the Prairie River lagoons. Construction on a new ADA accessible restroom facility with shelter will begin in 2018, along with the new facilities we are "re-investing" in this beautiful park. Some improvements will include, re-doing the basketball courts, removing tennis courts, re-doing parking lot, replacing southernmost pedestrian bridge, installing lights along pedestrian path, and re-beautifying the entire park.

Ott's Park:
This is a 9 acre park located at 501 North Foster Street, on the west side of the city along the Wisconsin River. This park features a lighted softball field, boat landing with dock, picnic areas and shelter, children's playground, volleyball courts, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, and remodeled ADA accessible restroom facilities. Ott's Park is located on the North end of Foster Street.

Stange's Kitchenette Park:
This 6 acre park is located at 211 West First Street, along the Prairie River. It contains a kitchen shelter, a playground, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball, and handicap accesible restrooms.

Riverside Park:
Located at 1700 O'Day Street, along the Wisconsin River.The park's location is on the end of O'Day Street. This 22 acre park features a boat landing, picnic areas with shelter, sand volleyball, horseshoes and a playground. The park also features a newly developed 9 hole Eric Shalow Memorial Disc Golf Course. As well as ADA accessible restrooms and walking path.

Normal Park:
Located at 600 North Center Avenue this park is the newest addition to the Merrill Park system. It features a beautiful Gazebo donated by the Bauman Family, a ball field, and beautiful green space in the heart of town. We are pleased to announced that the new facility has been completed. Park reservations will now include use of the new restrooms and will have the option of using the kitchen facility!!
