The Smith Multi-Purpose Center was dedicated in 1995 through the generous contribution from the David and Katharine Stone Smith Foundation and community support.  The Smith Center is a 40,000 square foot multi-purpose recreational center featuring indoor ice arena, multi-purpose room, locker rooms, concession area, and walking area. 

   The Smith Center is a year round facility that plays host to weddings, craft shows, Merrill High School hockey teams, Youth Hockey, figure skaters, Merrill Park and Recreation programs, birthday parties, concerts, and many other recreational events.

The Smith Center has ice in from the end of October through the end of March. Public Open Ice Skate times are Monday-Friday 1-3pm and Friday Nights from 6:00 - 8:30, and Saturday Nights from 7:00-9:00 pm. For all other ice time availability, please contact us.
