Parks and Recreation

On this site you will find many valuable things such as:

Due to COVID-19 Guidelines and Recommendations, the Bierman Family Aquatic Center will unfortunately be closed for the season. This decision came after lenghty discussions with the Lincoln County Health Department and using Local, State, and National guidelines and were done so with overall community health in mind. **The Parks & Recreation Commission decided to only consider opening when mass gatherings are acceptable and COVID restrictions allow for normal operations. We do not have the budgetary or staffing resources to ensure public safety and follow all guidelines. . . all Aquatic Center season pass holders will be contacted and given the option to either transfer their passes to 2021 or be fully refunded.

***UPDATED*** BEGINNING JULY 1ST, WE WILL BE RENTING OUR PARK SHELTERS. We will be following Lincoln County Health Department Recommendations (GROUPS OF 50 OR LESS, frequent sanitizing, physical distancing of at least 6 feet, face coverings are recommended, etc.)

Due to COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations, Summer Playground program will unfortunately be canceled. For similar reasons as the Aquatic Center, we are unable to ensure participant safety and comply with all guidelines and recommendations.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations, Park Restrooms and Playgrounds will remain closed for the time being. Lincoln County Health Department recommended we keep closed and we will do so for community health and safety. Playgrounds are posted with signs saying "Closed, use at your own risk"

We will continue to monitor the ongoing situation and adjust as we go - and keep you informed. . . *We encourage everyone to get out and stay active in our parks, but please do so safely and follow guidelines

***We are all in this together and we appreciate everyone's cooperation during this time. If we can all remain disciplined we can get back to "normal" hopefully soon. . . Any Park & Rec related questions should be funneled to our phone number 536-7313.
